Thanks for your response and it sounds very interesting to me. In essence, you would wait for her H1 to be approved, then transfer your H1 as long as your new employer can get and her H4 (until sep 30th).
What if her H1 is not approved until Aug? Is there a point in filing for H4 extension up to Sep 30th in Aug? What are the consequences of that not getting approved before sep 30th? In that case waiting until Oct 1st seems to be the better option.
I will talk to a lawyer and let you know what kind of response I will get.

As long as the water is all of the same temp and salinity there isn't any distortion because of water movement. Distortion does occur when you get mixing of water that has different density. Scuba diving you see that where you pass through layers of water on the way down. The layers can be either different temerature or different salinity. When you get that it looks like heat waves on a hot highway in the distance.
I have used the pentax optio under water a bit. It works well as a point and shoot but not much more than that. I wouldn't take it more than a few feet down. I don't think it is rated for very deep.

No you don't have to wait for your 3 year extension to return to US. Your lawyers and company are basically trying to get your three year extension so that you can get a 3 year visa stamped in your passport. But there's nothing stopping you from returning to US at any time on your current H1b.
For your second question - no you don't have to be present in the US to file for the extension .

EAD : Valid till 27th August 2010 (filed for renewal last week)
AP : Valid till Jan 22nd 2011
H1B : Valid till Jan 22nd 2011
My employer is still the same who filed for my GC (and helping me keep my H1 current) Last couple of time when I went to India I have used AP to re-enter the US. My wife used her EAD to get a job locally - but now she has quite and she is in India. . I am currently in process of getting my H1 stamped on my passport, get H4 for my wife and son (who was born on July 30 2010 in India)
MY QUESTION IS : What should we use to re-enter the US ? AP or H1/H4 ?
Will my H1 and EAD still be valid ? or will I lose one of them ?
Please let me know. I do not want to take a wrong step since I am so close to getting my GC.

Hello,
I am stuck in India (along with my husband who) after leaving USA where I am living for over 5 years. I just came for 2 wks here in India to get stamping done at the Chennai Consulate. They kept my passport and said they will give visa, in next 3-4wks..Its past a month and 3 wks.. I am force to live with relatives. I can't even go to my home country without my passport. Everything I own is back in USA. How do I get back to it? I am on H4 and my husband is H1B. I am holding another country's nationality. I can't even visit my home country without my passport. Why did the Consulate kept the passports for this long? :confused:Why are we being treated this way?? Why didn't they do a security check where I was living for over 5 years? I am so frustrated being stuck and worry about my home left unattended back in the US.

well queen my long lost thought you were gone forever to never come back friend. I am not to familiar with the nikon lenses i would imaging the logical side would be to cover as many focal lengths as possible and that would be covered by the 18-55 and the 55-200mm lenses. however im not sure if the 18-135 lens offers supperior glass or not. If it does i would say that would be the one you go with. anyway it sure is nice to see you on here queen i must say i missed ya.

How do i change it to AOS?. I heard that when my PD is current NVC will sent forms. Do I need to specify AOS in that form?. Who will get those forms?. Attorney or applicant.

Nice stuff for first photos, especially since it looked like pretty harsh lighting. I particularly liked the guitar, though a little smaller aperture for a slightly more depth of field would have probably made it even better.

I do not think Swift 3D has a wireframe export features, but you can press the Print Screen button and paste the image into an image editor. You will be able to manipulate it like you would any other image. That is the best way that I know of doing it. You could also import the Swift 3D swf into Flash, and let Flash export the movie as a sequence of images.

Here (http://www.dphoto.us/forumphotos/showgallery.php?cat=1377) are a few pictures from my excursion to Turkey Run S P last weekend. While my camera performed better than I expected from a late-90's era 2.7MP DSLR, I didn't fare so well, coming home with far fewer "keepers" than I would have liked. My greatest problem was that I either didn't set up a tripod or failed to increase the ISO to get more DOF in many landscape shots that needed it, and frequently I also got motion blur from lack of tripod usage. This experience has taught me that for me personally, even though the D1 is 2 stops faster than Velvia, I still must slow down and use a tripod - not only to prevent blur and enable slower exposures, but also to force a slower and more thoughtful pace of composition.
