Thanks RPAT. With this additional clarification I can say that my case is not similar.
In my case, my employer first applied EB3 (pre-Perm) substitution I-140 with LC priority date of Nov-2004 while my EB2 LC was pending. When in Mar-2007 my Perm EB2 LC was approved, employer asked me if I want to continue with EB3 or want to use new EB2 LC. The day I informed my decision to move with EB2 was the day EB3 I-140 was approved. I think then lawyer used Nov-2004 priority date in my EB2 I-140. Approval for EB2 I-140 was received in Nov-2007 and indicated PD of Nov-2004. My I-485 was filed in Aug-07 as concurrent application. Later my company told me that EB3 I-140 was withdrawn. Now my I-485 is still pending and I suspect it has EB3 classification. I have opened SR early this week. Let's see what's the response.

This is a very genuine concern. I being the only son have worries on the same lines too. Although my parents are healthy and doing fine at this time but I get really get tensed to fathom what is there down the line in another 5 years or so. Bringing them here is not an option, medical insurance will not cover pre-existing condition neither is there any visa other than B2. Two options come to my mind:
1) I take up job which requires lot of travel, back-and-forth to India.
2) I move for good to India.
3) Look for a full-time nurse to be available to take care of them and I travel to India once in every 3 months, may be just for a week or so each time.
All three options put a dent in your life. But I guess the golden period of life is over, remaining period of life will go raising your kids, looking after your parents. Sometimes I like the American culture a lot; you get to enjoy all life long!

Thanks. I was a little disappointed that the purple edges did not show up well in the original photo. That makes a big difference.
Some reactions:
On the rainbow shot, I would clone or crop out the dead twig on the right. Cropping is probably the better option because it will call more attention to the rainbow. I tried to process the image to bring the rainbow out more, but didn't have much success. Maybe someone else can help or maybe it can't be done.
I recropped the flower image and did a little minor processing to bring out more of the detail, particularly in the highlights.
Hope you don't mind me adjusting and reposting your images.

I applied AP Feb 3 2011 for my wife and i got approved mail and also checked website saying it was approved.

i didn't want to do the newby thing and ask 'oh! how is it done?' so i went away and tried to do it myself (ha!)
i tried masking the text and having all sort of thing tweening in underneath, but i can't get the rays to beam out like that
just one question: is it done in actionscript?

Yes for new applicants it's wonderful. For old applicants it's double the money and double the time (to get GC counting time from the first time they applied for GC ) or even more time than the new applicants.

My app was received by NSC on 24th July and looks like NSC is processing August apps. Even, if my app got transferred to TSC, it should have been processed by now according to USCIS report on RN processing. I am not sure, what to do ?

If I work on EAD and do not get the EAD card before it gets expires, do I need to inform my employer about the status. If I inform them they will be removing my name from the payroll and it will be hard to include it again. It is like my job getting terminated.

Why on earth an attorney didn't suggested to use nunc pro trunc which facilitates saying person is maintaining legal status after the recent entry.
What is your problem mister? What will a person get here to post a fishy message? If you can not offer any help then it is better to read and ignore. Instead of hurting someones feeling. I guess you do not understand how does it feel when some one tells you " you will be thrown out from this country with in few days after spending 10 yrs here".

Such are the erratic ways of USCIS that we are all in the paranoid zone. When you get the unexpected (i.e. paper mail and no online approval) it does make us wonder and asntonished. There is an old Turkish proverb "When you burn your lips drinking hot milk you start blowing on your yogurt"

I used AP to enter US in June this year.The IO stamp on my I94 and the AP document says 'Paroled unitl Sept 2009'. Should i consider the validity of AP until this date?
However on the actual AP documents under the Parole paragraph mentions the following: 'The bearereeparted the United States temporarily and intends to return to the US to resume processing of the adjustment of status application.Presentation of the original of this document prior to Sept 27 2008 allows a Customs and Border Protection Inspector at a port-of-entry to parole the names bearer...........'

But I am Commerce graduate (3 years) from India and with over 11 years of IT experience, am I eligible for EB2? Can I use my experience to make up for 1 year. If not, can you suggest 1 yr. online degree (acceptable to USCIS) to be eligible for EB2.

There is a sudden change of plan. My company wants me in US for two months - March 15 - May 15. Then i have to go back to India till Dec 09 and come back to join work from Jan 2010. My questions -
1. Will i be facing any questions at the immigration (point of entry) when i come back on Jan 2010?
2. Any other situation or scenario that i should be aware of?
3. If i receive pay check for just two months in 09, will there be a problem when i file taxes for 2009?
