To the best of my knowledge you can not file for AOS while you are on TN . To process your green card you have to switch to your H1B from TN and start your green card as any other national i.e file for your Labor certification, I-140 and then i-485 .This process is same like any other national. I think if you never entered on a non-immigrant visa (in your case H1) after overstaying previous Non-immigrant visa (F1), you could still be in trouble. My understanding is that they wan to see your continued legal presence and maintenance of status from your last entry thru the day when you applied I-485. If the only time you entered US since Jan 2003 is on AP then you might be in trouble.

Hopefully you have a attorney, sometimes they have more access or just clout more than what we have, so my suggestion would be to get in touch with an attorney.

This was big surprize to me. Mine and my spuse had hard LUD on our I485 with the current status as :Notice Returned as Undeliverable. There wer no other updates or status change or approval or denial or soft LUD etc.
The most surpising to me that both of us received the Finger Printing notices on our new address just a month ago.
This is really frustrating.
When I called up the 800 number the lady said just ignore this status as this is some computer glitch.
Dont know what to do just believe her or try to do something else?
Need help ! any one out there in same situation???

I shot this image shortly after sunrise, using my 300D and Canon 75-300 at 300 mm and 5.6. ISO was 400. I was using the car door for support. The attached image is straight out of the camera. I shot it as RAW, resized for posting, and saved as a jpg. I'm real disappointed with the detail and the noise. Is it just not exposed properly? Is the steam causing the geese to appear out of focus? I shot about 30 images and they all look basically the same, other than intentional exposure variations. Normally I can figure out what I did wrong, but this time I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

I am 2nd July filer and have received EAD on 09/06. But so far no updates on AP or FP. I guess there are lot many ppl in the same boat.

I agree but this statement "previous editions of the I-485 form accepted" sounds like a generic one because today's FAQ clearly relates to "EB I-485" and the word "Should", not "may or can"... thats what puzzling me...

Hello All, Pardon me if I'm bringing up the question that's already been answered, but couldn't find any answer anywhere in the forum.
I just received my FP notice today but my wife hasn't received any. I'll wait few more days certainly before calling USCIS, but has anybody come across this situation? We had mailed all the applications together at NSC and have Receipt Notices.
Does InfoPass come to any help here?
Please suggest.

I opened SR's on 3rd Sept 2009 to check the status of my I-485 and got a disturbing email that I am in EB3 category and visa not available. Opened another SR to clarify this but did not get proper reply. Also they said they cannot correct the EB category.
Went for an infopass today and the IO told that my current EB classification is E37 and my spouse as E39. This means that I am in EB3. (See GC codes - GREEN CARD CATEGORY CODES (http://www..com/usa-discussion-forums/i485-eb/125892951/green-card-category-codes))

If you paper filed your EAD and have done finger printing recently that could be the reason for 485 LUD. Its my opinion after every finger printing there will be an LUD in 485
No. FP for EAD is catagory 2, FP for I485 is catagory 3. I have not seen any LUD on I485 for getting FP for EAD.
As suggested by "mittal_a" it should be due to AC21 or some other routine stuff.

I am in for Gandhigiri. I remember we celebrate aniversaries of the success we had when we did this 1st time and only time. Its time we do it again.
I know many people whose cases are ready to be adjucated are keeping a silent note core members or others, and they will become active again when numbers become unavailable.. which makes sense like in many cases. What will you do if your date is current.. be very hopeful for hearing the good news.. and not try to get ANY attention, . right.. Sorry if I hurt anyone,. but what are we waiting for.. economy to pick up??.
But I know many people out there are not even close to or hopeful if the numbers become current.. LETS DO IT. We request IV core to come forward and start a campaign. Please help.

We have learned a lesson from the past eight years that leaders' total obsession with only one agenda, "war," led to neglecting of almost all other parts of the country's policies and people's life , including deteriorating economic competitiveness, education, healthcare, arts, etc. and the country is now paying its price. Look at the state of our country's education. Priority in policies should not mean that all other important nation's agenda should remain in standstill.

I am in the same boat with you.
485 package was delivered by UPS on NSC and the tracking number shows it delivered on the morning of June 08.
However, until this moment there is still no receipts annd check is not cashed.
As Canadian_Dream suggest, we just have to wait a little more time and if still no result, I will submit another copy for the application.

I think all Gravitation was saying is PD needs to be after 1st May 2001.
This is an interesting theory about EB3 ppl moving to EB2 and jamming EB2 as well. Good for EB3 ppl having PB in 2003 at least.
Although it does scare me that even if 20% people moved to EB2, and EB2 is now stagnant, so how many more are left in EB3 before June 2003.
